Missoula Children’s Theatre – Summer Theatre Week

MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE

Returns to the Twin Counties!

A week of Summer Music, Drama & Fun

It is with great sadness, that we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Missoula Children’s Theatre Summer Camp.  The Arts Council Board of Directors gave considered thought to the health and safety concerns inherent in such an activity, and the Board feels that the only responsible decision is to wait until Summer 2021 to welcome Missoula Children’s Theatre back to the Twin Counties.  We know you understand this decision and we hope to see you and your young actors next year.

This Summer’s Musical is RUMPELSTILTSKIN!

CANCELLED – Monday, July 13 – Saturday, July 18, 2020 – CANCELLED

Missoula Children’s Theatre returns with their special brand of Theatre Magic for a week-long residency open to all children in the Twin Counties.  Actors from the MCT will audition & cast up to 64 children (ages 6-18 only) for roles in a soon to be announced musical!  During the week, the children rehearse the play, learning their lines, music and choreography. On the Saturday, July 18th they perform play for their family and friends!

The audition will be held on Monday, July 13th at 10:00am at the Carroll County High School Auditorium.  Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition. This is a group audition – no advance  preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!

The cost for the week-long theatre experience is $25/student.

Rehearsals will be conducted every day from approximately 10am to 1:30pm at the CARROLL COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition.

**  Students should bring bottled water and a lunch or substantial snack with them.

** Please have your student wear closed toe shoes at the audition and at all rehearsals.

Please share this amazing opportunity with everyone you know!
