Missoula Children’s Theatre – A Week of Music, Drama & Fun - And it’s FREE!
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is a week-long residency open to all school-aged children in the Twin Counties and is FREE for all participating children. Theatre professionals from the Missoula Children’s Theatre will audition & cast up to 50 area children (rising 1-12 graders) for roles in THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA.
During the week, the children rehearse the play, learning their lines, music and choreography. On Saturday, June 22nd, the public is invited to attend the play and celebrate the fruit of their labor. Don’t forget – participation for the children is free of charge and a modest ticket price will be charged to attend the play.
The audition for THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00am at the Galax High School Auditorium – we suggest you arrive by 9:30am to sign-in. There are roles for those students entering 1st grade (5 yrs. old) through to those students entering their senior year. Approximately 50 Twin Counties students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. Please understand, there is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition. This is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 10am to 2:30pm at Galax High School in the Auditorium and Cafeteria. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition.
Please share this amazing opportunity with everyone you know!
