LOVE IN STAGES – An Evening of One-Act Plays

It’s Fall in the Twin Counties and LOVE is in the Air!  Join the Arts Council of the Twin Counties for “Love in Stages,” a series of three one-act plays that will take you on a funny and poignant adventure through Young Love, Married Love, and Second-Chance Love!  Directed by Patrick Butler, the play will be performed on October 12, 13 and 14 at 7pm & October 15 at 2pm at the 1908 Courthouse in Independence and on Saturday, October 21st at 7pm, upstairs at the Historic Carroll County Courthouse in Hillsville.  The first play is “Boy Meets Girl” by Sam Wolfson, and the second play is “Let’s Go Already” by Joshua John McKay.  The third one-act play is “Kalamazoo” by Michelle Kholos Brooks.  Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

The Country-Western Edition

It’s our annual Gala and Silent Auction, Denim & Diamonds -The Country-Western Edition, on Saturday, November 18th at the Galax Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse. Join us for a fantastic evening of heavy hors d’oeuvres & desserts, complimentary coffee and wine bars, and great County-Western music and line dancing! Not to brag, but we have the best silent auction items donated by businesses and artists/artisans from our area. Individual tickets are $25/person and may be purchased here.
