The Galax Visitors Center and The Arts Council of the Twin Counties are joining forces to bring back the Art of Storytelling this Fall! The first-ever “Mountain Whispers” program will take place on Saturday, October 31st at 3pm on the Galax Theatre Guild/Carol Waddell Outdoor Stage which is located behind the Galax Public Library (610 West Stuart Drive). Admission for the afternoon of storytelling is free and parking is available at the Library. Bring your own lawn chair and refreshments and don’t forget to wear a face mask. Being that October 31st is Halloween, we’ll also have a Costume Parade for those brave enough strut their stuff across the stage. Prizes will be awarded! Mountain Whispers will feature the artistry of four talented storytellers. Twin County author Deborah Tilson Clark, Terri Ingalls of Mt. Airy, Galax’s favorite on-air personality Derrick Scott Davis and newcomer Adam Jordan.
