TALES OF TERROR – An Evening of Spooky Stories
October 12, 13 & 14
Fall is here, the nights are getting chilly and Halloween is just around the corner! It’s the time of year to gather with friends and family and tell spooky stories around the campfire. While we won’t have the fire, the Arts Council’s newest production is chock full of classic stories told by some of your favorite actors – just in time to get you ready to “Trick or Treat.”
“Tales of Terror” will feature Patrick Butler reading “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs, Martha Magroski reading “The Witch of Coos” by Robert Frost, Danita Moore reading “Little Orphant Annie” by James Whitcomb Riley and “The Headless Horseman” by Washington Irving, Sue Revels reading “The Cats of Ulthar” by H.P. Lovecraft and David Roberson reading “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe. Ginger Correll, Stephannie Dees and Valerie Gardener Rives have served as coaches for the performers.
Performances of “Tales of Terror” will be Thursday, October 12th at The Rex Theatre in Galax, Friday, October 13th at the Presbyterian Church of Hillsville and Saturday, October 14th at the Fries Theatre. Performances are at 7:30pm and all tickets are $5 and will be available at the door before each performance.
