Carmichael Scholarship Program

What better way to preserve the arts (all arts) than by enabling the youth of today to cultivate their dreams? The Arts & Cultural Council of the Twin Counties is aiding in doing just that.

Each year, The Arts Council awards a scholarship to a graduating senior in each of our local high schools and in 2011 a fourth category was added for home-schooled and private school students.  The scholarships are given in honor of Mrs. Marietta Carmichael, past president and avid supporter for the arts.  Recipients are selected based on their past experiences with the arts, high school achievements, their future plans to continue studying the arts at the college level, and ideas to implement the arts into their careers.  Applications are due in April.

Since 1998, the Arts Council has awarded more than $24,000 to 53 different students.

Contact The Arts Council at 276-238-1217 for an application package or download the application here!
