This summer, the Arts & Cultural Council is very excited to host the Missoula Children’s Theatre! In a week-long residency open to all school-aged children in the Twin Counties, theatre professionals from the Missoula Children’s Theatre will audition and cast up to 60 area children (rising 1-12 graders) for roles in CINDERELLA. During the week, the children rehearse the play, learning their lines, music and choreography. On Saturday, June 25th, the public is invited to attend the play and celebrate the fruit of their labor. Participation for the children is free of charge and a modest ticket price will be charged to attend the play.
The audition for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of CINDERELLA will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Galax High School Auditorium. There are roles for those students entering 1st grade through to those students entering their senior year. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. Please understand, there is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition. This is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
